Pregnancy:
1st baby: I read every pregnancy book known to man.
2nd baby: I read as many parenting books as I could - but was lucky to get in one full book and half of another.
3rd baby: Books? Who has time for books!? The only books I read are Goodnight Moon and Little People.
1st baby: I couldn't WAIT to wear maternity and to show off my belly which didn't make it's appearance until about week 25.
2nd baby: I tried to wear my normal clothes for as long as I possibly could...denying the weight gain!
3rd baby: I don't pay attention to anything I wear! If I get out of the house in a bra and something other than my husbands oversized shirt - its a good day!
1st baby: Blogged everyday! I loved talking about my bun in the oven and myself.
2nd baby: Barely blogged - nearly forgot about it =(
3rd baby: Read all my blogs from my first pregnancy to make sure everything was "normal" and was mad at myself for not blogging more on the second pregnancy.
1st baby: Dale came to EVERY doctors appointment.
2nd baby: Dale came to a couple doctors appointments...saved the "vacation time" for when baby came.
3rd baby: Dale came to one doctors appointment. I don't think I even told him when each appointment was.
1st baby: Followed all the "rules."
2nd baby: Followed most of the "rules."
3rd baby: Not sure what the rules are anymore!!
Birth:
1st baby: Birth was an amazing miracle.
2nd baby: Birth was an amazing miracle.
3rd baby: Birth was an amazing miracle!
1st baby: Hated my stay in the hospital and couldn't wait to come home.
2nd baby: Rushed home but wished I stayed at the hospital longer.
3rd baby: Loved the hospital stay...could've stayed longer.
1st baby: Was overwhelmed with visitors at the hospital and at home and super emotional. We had by far the most visitors.
2nd baby: Didn't have as many visitors. Liked it when the house was quiet.
3rd baby: Loved having visitors and couldn't wait for people to visit.
New Baby in the House:
1st baby: Was nervous to let anyone hold Wyatt.
2nd baby: Was OK with people holding Gavin but they need to wash their hands!
3rd baby: YES! Please hold the baby so I can shower!!!
1st baby: Was mad at Dale for not helping more with the baby.
2nd baby: Wished Dale could help more with the baby.
3rd baby: Felt bad for Dale that he couldn't help more with the baby.
1st baby: Was too nervous to workout after I had Wyatt - thought my body would fall apart or something.
2nd baby: Never worked out. If I could a free moment, I chose to sleep.
3rd baby: Working out is the only alone time I get - I need it...even if it's only 30 minutes every day.
1st baby: Followed all the "rules."
2nd baby: Followed most of the "rules."
3rd baby: Not sure what the rules are anymore!!
Baby Days:
1st baby: Loved doing baby gym class, baby yoga...and every mommy and me class I could.
2nd baby: Didn't do any mommy and me classes. All my activities included Wyatt and things I could do with both kids.
3rd baby: Playdates with other moms with multiple kids. And its always at someone's house - easier than going somewhere public.
1st baby: Followed all the "rules."
2nd baby: Follwed most of the "rules."
3rd baby: Not sure what the rules are anymore!!
1st baby: Couldn't imagine having a second baby! Being a mom was so difficult.
2nd baby: Just about died of exhaustion! And couldn't IMAGINE having another.
3rd baby: My house is crazy. I never sleep. We are unbelievably busy. Another kid didn't make much of a change to that.
1st baby: Missed my hubby.
2nd baby: Really missed my hubby.
3rd baby: Missed my hubby but found creative ways for us to have special time together.
1st baby: Pumped after each feeding.
2nd baby: Pumped once a day.
3rd baby: I don't have time to pump!
1st baby: Was so nervous to leave Wyatt.
2nd baby: Was nervous to leave Gavin but did a few times to get one on one time with Wyatt.
3rd baby: Still nervous to leave Sidney. I have only left her a couple times to go workout.
1st baby: Loved this baby more than anything!
2nd baby: Loved both my babies more than anything!
3rd baby: Loved ALL THREE of my babies more than ANYTHING!!!! Don't know what I would do without all of them (including Dale=).
